Students will be introduced to The Odyssey and Iliad by Homer using grade level texts, videos, and internet research.  Each student will be responsible for writing an informative/explanatory paper to examine and convey complex ideas and concepts throughout the poem.  Students will choose a character and write about their background, viewpoint in the poem, and why they chose this character.  Students will explain what interested them about the character, as well as their opinion on whether they are a moral character or an amoral character.
