“Form and Content in Modern Poetry and Drama” will focus on examining the roles that form and content play in poetry and drama. The unit will focus on the close reading methodology of plays and poems and students will discover and be able to articulate why form is so important. How the words are said proves to be more important than what is being said in both the fields of poetry and drama. Students will be asked to create a final performance piece based on one of the poems that they have studied.
