The purpose of this unit is to demonstrate the electrical characteristics of cellular transmissions. Students will construct simple batteries and electrical circuits as well as study through movies, a device for amplifying an electrical signal in order to record the electrical activity produced in muscles and to discover that even plants are electrically excitable and can display electrical responses to environmental stimuli.
