The curriculum units for the 2022 Fall Curriculum Lab seminars are now posted under 2022 Curriculum Units. The 2022 Fall Curriculum Lab seminars were Global Environmental Challenges and Potential Solutions; Social Justice, Monuments, Museums, and Heritage; and What Makes Something a Number.

Global Environmental Challenges and Potential Solutions, taught by Earth and Environmental Science Professor, Reto Giere, covered several topics around our environmental footprint and ways to lower our consumption of resources in pursuit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Units in this seminar covered environmental activism, climate change, and waste as a social construct.

Social Justice, Monuments, Museums, and Heritage, taught by Anthropology professor, Richard M. Leventhal, pushed fellows to rethink the function of monuments, museums, and heritage through recent social, racial, and economic justice movements. Units explored the depiction of figures such as Frank Rizzo and Don Quixote in public monuments and the relationship between monuments and individual identity. Professor Leventhal is pictured above giving fellows background information on monuments in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

What Makes Something a Number , taught by Mathematics Professor, Henry Towsner, explored algebraic rules and what happens when we change those rules. Units in this seminar covered rules for usual number systems, infinity, zeroes, and more.
